Year 5 Home Learning

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am just writing to tell you about the home learning package we have put together for your child during their self-isolation. Today, you can collect a Y5 home learning pack one from the office. Pack two can be collected from Wednesday 7th October 2020.

From Thursday, we will be using the online software Microsoft TEAMS to share learning that teachers have prepared. There will be planning, resources and online tutorials each day. There is also a simple timetable for the children to follow whilst working from home.

Mircosoft TEAMS is free and very simple to use. On the Home Learning page is the Highfield remote learning plan and a parent guide to support you in using TEAMS.

You will receive the username and password via text message tomorrow- please let the school know if you have not received this message

We have also set up class emails addresses so that parents and pupils can communicate with the teachers. Teachers will be available between 9.00 – 3.00 each day.

Addresses are as follows:

If you do not have access to Microsoft TEAMS, we will still be making work packs which you will be able to pick up from school. This will be the first time year five have used Microsoft TEAMS in this way so please let us know if you encounter any problems.

Many thanks for your co-operation,
Mrs Davies
(Deputy Head Teacher)
