Y4 Roman WOW day experience - 11th December 2018

Throughout the autumn term, Year 4 have been studying the Romans in their Learning for Life lessons. As the term is now coming to an end, we would like to celebrate the children’s learning in an art themed WOW day on Tuesday 11thDecember 2018, where the children will participate in a number of Roman themed art lessons that will help the children to immerse themselves into this topic one last time.

There will be no charge for this experience but all that we ask is that your child brings in a piece of cardboard, about the size of a cereal box, so that they can create a Roman shield. The WOW day will take place on school grounds and will follow the same times as a regular school day.

We are also inviting the children to dress up in traditional Roman clothing for the day and it would add to the excitement of the day if your child could join in. We have given you some examples below as inspiration. If your child is not coming in Roman clothing they should wear their full school uniform.

If you have any questions, please see your child’s class teacher.

Yours faithfully,
The Year 4 Team
