The Pastoral team would like to invite you to attend a Community Cohesion Parent and Child Workshop on Wednesday 9th May from 2:15-3:15pm in the Infant hall.
As you are aware, SATs testing is taking place in the week beginning Monday 14th of May for Year 6 pupils.
This comprises of several tests:
Monday 14th of May – Grammar and Spelling tests
Tuesday 15th of May – Reading Test
Wednesday 16th of May – Arithmetic paper and Reasoning Test 1
Thursday 17th of May – Reasoning Test 2
There will be a parent meeting to explain procedures and give further details on Thursday 24th of April at 3pm in the Junior hall. It is important that parents attend so that you are fully aware of what is expected of your child.
Teacher Training day
Year 6 children will also be required to attend school for extra revision during the Teacher Training Day on Thursday 3rd of May. This will be for the morning only; therefore, children will need to be collected at 12pm. This is to ensure that our children have the most revision time they can.
How can you help?
During this time of year, it is really important that children remain calm, have a focused and positive attitude and try their very best. It is important that they eat healthily, get enough sleep, drink plenty of water and complete any homework they are given. As a school, we will be positively encouraging children to try to do their best and your support in this is vital.
During the SATs Testing week, breakfast club will be provided for all Year 6 pupils, free of charge, from Monday morning to Thursday morning. This will be a chance for the children to talk to their friends and teachers about their tests, and hopefully discuss any worries and concerns. Children can arrive at school at 8am. Breakfast club will close at 8.30am.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 6 team.
Many thanks for your continued support,
Assistant Head Teacher for Year 6
You may be aware that there is a leaflet being posted that refers to the 3rd April.
Understandably, this has caused alarm amongst our children and our community. We will be speaking to the children this week to reassure them and this matter has been reported to the police and other authorities.
As with all acts of terrorism, I feel that this is intended to spread fear and confusion and to unsettle our community.
Our aim is to keep your children calm and to support you to remain calm whilst the appropriate authorities deal with the matter.

As you know we have been cashless since 1st September 2016. This means that we will not be accepting any more cheques or cash in school for your child’s dinner money.
You will now be able to pay for your child/ren’s school meals / Trips and Uniform online and payment will be taken by debit or credit card there and then. Please note you will need to have an email address as your receipt for your records will be sent to that email address.
Go to www.schoolmoney.co.uk – this will take you to the homepage. In the top right hand corner you will see the ‘parents click here to login’ click this button which will take you to the next page.
1. Input your mobile number, email address and password (that was given by the school)
2. Type in your child’s first name only (you can type any child’s name if you have more than one in school) then click confirm.
You will now be taken to the payments screen. You will now be able to view each child’s dinner money account and make payments.
If you are unsure of how to use this system please come to the main office and leave your name and contact number as we will arrange a support session. If we should receive a high volume of interest in those who require support, we will arrange for a group demonstration of the system.
Thank you for your continued support.
