Reception Admissions 2021
We are delighted to share that you can now apply for a place in our Reception cohort for September 2021 at Highfield Junior and Infant School. We are a four-form entry primary school and we have 120 places available for our Reception intake.
Applications for Highfield Junior and Infant School are made directly to the Education Authority. You should receive an application pack in the autumn from Birmingham City Council, entitled 'How to Start Your Child at School in Birmingham'.

The national closing date for applications is (11:59pm) 15th January 2021. The national offer day for Reception admissions is 16th April 2021.
Virtual open event
We understand that you may want to find out more about Highfield Junior and Infant School and all that we have to offer your child. To reflect the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and the current measures imposed nationally, we will be hosting a virtual engagement event in place of our usual Open Day.
Whilst this is disappointing - as we were hoping to meet with you all face to face - we must ensure as a school that we are adhering to all local authority guidance in order to keep everyone safe and well.
Highfield Junior and Infant School (as part of the Prince Albert Community Trust) remains unwavering in its commitment to providing opportunities for you to ask any questions you may have about our school and what we can offer your child.
Our virtual open event will be hosted by myself and will provide you with more information about our school, our EYFS offer, our ethos and our core values. The event will also be an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

In order to apply for an in-year place at Highfield School you will need to collect an application form from the main reception desk.
The closing date for primary school applications for a place in a Reception Class for September 2020 is: 15 January 2020. Offers will be made on Tuesday 16th April 2020.
Parents can apply for a place in the Autumn of the year before their child turns 4 years of age.
