Parent Workshop – 13th Nov 2018 @ 2:45pm

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I am writing to you to invite you to our next Online Safety Parent Workshop. Following concerns from parents and teachers, this half terms focus will be on:

  • Online Gaming & how to stay safe in this online environment

If you allow your child to play games online at home (including age restricted games like Fortnight) then please attend the workshop to find out how this can be done safely.

During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice on topics surrounding Online Gaming.

The Online Safety Parent Workshop will take place in the Infant Hall from 2:45pm to 3:15pm on Tuesday 13thNovember.

This is a fantastic opportunity to ask for advice, put your mind at ease or just enquire as to what you can do to keep your child safe online at home.

Yours sincerely,
Mr J. Tromans

Online Safety Day - Tuesday 19th June 2018

Tuesday 19th June marks the last of our Online Safety days for this academic year. During the day, your child will take part in a number of Online Safety activities. These include: re-designing our school Online Safety button and screen for our computers. The digital leaders will then short list to find the winner for each school. The winning entry will be digitalised and used from September 2018 on every Computer in their school.

Children will also be taught about the dangers of playing games that are not appropriate for their age. From this, children will create a class video where they will be encouraged to create songs, raps and role plays to give out the online safety message.

Please ask your child what they have learnt and share amongst your family.
