Tuesday 19th June marks the last of our Online Safety days for this academic year. During the day, your child will take part in a number of Online Safety activities. These include: re-designing our school Online Safety button and screen for our computers. The digital leaders will then short list to find the winner for each school. The winning entry will be digitalised and used from September 2018 on every Computer in their school.
Children will also be taught about the dangers of playing games that are not appropriate for their age. From this, children will create a class video where they will be encouraged to create songs, raps and role plays to give out the online safety message.
Please ask your child what they have learnt and share amongst your family.

Changes to data protection law
You may be aware that from 25th May 2018, the rules around data protection are changing. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will change how personal data can be used and how it must be kept safe. The GDPR also strengthens your rights over your own data.
The Prince Albert Community Trust has always been committed to ensuring that personal and sensitive information about yourselves and your children stays safe, and whilst the GDPR is similar to the current Data Protection Act in many ways, there are a few differences, so we need to make a few changes in order to ensure we remain compliant.
One of these changes is that we have updated our privacy notice. Please find it here. You can also view our privacy notices and policies on our website www.the-pact.co.uk. You can also find more information on the GDPR and your rights in our latest Online Safety Update Newsletter.
We already seek consent from you for the use of photographs or videos of your children, and as part of our work to comply with the GDPR we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, please contact the school office and ask for a pupil consent form and return the completed form to the school office.
If you have any questions about how the GDPR affects you, or how the PACT and our schools are preparing, you can contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or please contact the school office.
