Reopening School - Information for Parents & Pupils

Dear Parents and Carers,

Firstly, I hope that you are all safe and well. I want to begin by saying that I know there will be a wide variation in thoughts and feelings about school reopening. We find ourselves in a continually evolving situation. We have been navigating this situation together for almost a year now and our approach as a school remains the same: we are here to support our families in any way we possibly can.

Newsletter - February 2021

I hope that you are all well and keeping safe through yet another long and difficult lockdown.

As always, we have worked collaboratively to ensure that learning continues to happen for all children either through online learning or through the paper packs that have been prepared. I would like to thank you all for the support that you are providing to your children so that they are learning and engaging as much as they can with school, their teachers and their peers. I would also like to thank all the Highfield team for the work that they are doing too.

Transition into Secondary School

The Communication and Autism Team would like to invite you to a session to consider planning ahead for your child’s secondary transfer. There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the C/AT representatives about supporting your child/young person during the current situation and the focus of the meeting will be to give you information about the application process and types of provision available.
