Dear Parent / Guardians,
The PACT Child Safety Team aims are to ensure that our schools have the most rigorous safeguarding systems and procedures. Keeping the children safe is our number one priority.
Last term we have covered the topic PREVENT. If you would like information on PREVENT and top tips to keep your child safe please visit our school website and check out our Child Safety link. We will be revisiting this topic again for parents and children and will continue to keep staff abreast with current changes and training.
We would like to introduce our safeguarding topic for the Spring term.
Child Sexual Exploitation
During the Spring term the Child Safety Group will be delivering information for parents and talking to the children about positive relationships, online safety and how they can continue to keep themselves safe. Please spend a few moments to read through our guidance linked below on spotting the signs of CSE.\

At the Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) we are always looking for ways to ensure that we have the most talented and dedicated staff working with your children. You will have seen media reports over the past couple of years that refer to the ‘teacher shortage’ in the country. It is becoming more difficult for schools across the country to recruit new staff and hold on to good people that they already employ. The Trustees and I are always looking for ways to attract the best staff but also to ensure that we keep the excellent colleagues that we already have. One of the things that we think will help to do this is to change our admissions criteria. The Trustees of Prince Albert Community Trust wish to make an amendment in respect of the admissions criteria for the 2018-19 academic year.
The amendment under consideration is as follows:
Criteria 3: Children of a member of staff employed across the Prince Albert Community Trust
This will allow the small number of staff who wish to send their children to a PACT school (having worked for us for at least 2 years) to do so. It may be that they live in another town and would otherwise have to leave to find a post closer to home when their child starts school, it may simply be that they want the best possible school for their child. Our full admissions criteria with the variance included is available here.
This letter signals the start of the consultation process which will run until 31st January 2017. If you would like to express your views as part of this consultation then please email firstname.lastname@example.org alternatively you can pass on hand written comments to the school office in an envelope clearly marked ‘Admissions Consultation.’ I look forward to seeing your comments and feeding them back to the Trust Board. The Board will give full consideration to your comments before deciding on any changes to our current admissions arrangements.
