Dear Parent / Carer,
We are now going to be using a new school uniform supplier who will be selling our school uniform on our behalf. This means that with immediate effect, you will no longer be able to buy your child/children’s uniform through the school money shop or by barcode.
As part of a growing academy, outsourcing our school uniform will be more beneficial to you as this gives us buying power in order to achieve savings or to maintain low costs on your behalf. For example school jumpers are now sold for £7.99 rather than £9.00.
You will now be able to purchase school uniform online from www.schoolwearsolutions.com or alternatively you can now call them on 07707526662 and order by telephone. All orders can be delivered to school free of charge but these will be on a monthly basis or you can opt to have your items delivered to your home address for a charge.
School wear solutions will be holding regular sale day events in school, where you can buy the uniform on the day giving you the opportunity to make payments by cash or card which we believe will be easier than using the barcodes.
The first sale event will be taking place at the school fayre.
If you want to purchase uniform for September please make sure you attend the sale event, purchase online or by telephone.

Our WORLD CUP COMMUNITY COHESION project was launched in style with our opening ceremony and last week, Highfield children have started to learn more about the country their class was assigned.
This project runs for the next three weeksand will end in a spectacular whole-school celebration on Monday 16thJuly 2018.
Community Cohesion Exhibition:
Each class are preparing their own exhibition piece based on what they have learnt about their country. These will be displayed in an ‘art-gallery style’ in the school hall at the end of the project. We would like to welcome parents to come and see this exhibition on Monday 16thJuly from 9:00-9:45am.
World Cup Closing Ceremony:
During the afternoon of Monday 16thJuly, we will be celebrating as a whole school on the playground area.
This closing ceremony will include dances, speeches and a winner’s podium.
Parents are invited to join us for this celebration from 2pm. (Please report to the school office at this time if you wish to join us)
ALL children are invited to wear the colours of their country’s flag for school on Monday 16thJuly. This will therefore be a non-uniform day.
We look forward to uniting together on Monday 16thJuly,
Mrs Davies and Mrs Middleton
On Monday 9thJuly 2017 Year 6 will be having their end of year school trip to the beach at Weston-Super-Mare. The children will be departing and returning on the same day and will need to bring everything they need for the full day along with them.
The British weather is, at best, unpredictable so children will need to bring clothes for all eventualities. The children will need to bring sensible shoes as we will be taking part in different activities while we are at the beach.
Your child will also need to bring a packed lunch (unless your child receives free school meals) and drinks that can be consumed throughout the day while we are there. No food or drinks will be allowed on the coach.
We will also have the opportunity to purchase an ice-cream and visit the small shop on the beach front. Therefore children are welcome to bring a small amount of spending money. We ask that you please send your child with no morethan £10 in spending money. The children will be responsible for taking care of their own money and belongings as the Year 6 teachers will not take responsibility for this.
Children will be taking part in a fully secured high ropes activity. Therefore, below is a list of items your child will need for the day:
Sensible clothing (weather dependent and no skirts/dresses) Sun Hat
Packed lunch Drinks
Book for the journey Sun cream
