As part of our commitment to improving the attainment of our pupils, we monitor attendance on a regular basis. During our regular monitoring of our pupils, we identify any pupil, whose attendance causes concern, including those pupils who have arrived late to school on a number of occasions. Just being 5 minutes late to school every day can have a considerable impact over the whole school year.

Ofsted will be inspecting Highfield Junior and Infant School on 16 January 2019. The lead inspector will be Max Vlahakis. Ofsted would like to know what you think about our school. Please take a few minutes to read this leaflet which explains why Ofsted inspect schools, and what happens during an inspection.
If you are a registered parent or carer of a pupil at our school (including pupils on sick leave or who are temporarily excluded), you can tell Ofsted your views about our school by completing Ofsted's online survey, Parent View, by visiting: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.
Monday 4th February 2019 will mark the start of our PACT Online Safety Week across all of our schools. Throughout the week your child will be learning about how to stay safe online whilst in school and at home. We will also be participating in the globally celebrated Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 5th February.
Safer Internet Day 2019 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 5th February with the slogan: ‘Together for a better Internet’.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre the celebration sees hundreds of organisations get involved and join a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
